Eligibility

The Foundation's primary focus is to provide support for 501(3)(c) organization that create sustainable community improvement in the areas of higher education, culture and the arts in the Greater New Orleans area. However, the Foundation will consider grant requests made by organizations in other areas that meet all of the requirements listed on the Grant Process page.All Grantees must be nonprofit and/or tax exempt 501(3)(c) organizations.

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not have an IRS-approved scholarship program and therefore does not make grants, loans or scholarships to individuals. The Foundation does not make grants to other private foundations. The Foundation also does not make grants to public charities that are 509(a)(3) supporting organizations.  No grants will be issued to finance the educational programs of any primary or secondary institutions or the education of a single individual. Grants will not be issued nor will tickets be purchased for any fundraising events.
