Coaching Enhancement Grant The Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant provides financial assistance to member schools committed to increasing ethnic minority and gender representation in newly created assistant coaching positions for any NCAA-sponsored sport. This grant supports diversity efforts in athletic coaching across Division II institutions. Funding Selected schools (“Recipients”) receive three years of grant funding from the NCAA to support the salary, wages and benefits of the hired coach. The NCAA provides funding towards the proposed salary, wages and benefits as follows: First year: $25,000 Second year: $15,000 Third year: $8,000 This initiative is funded by the Division II budget with a total annual budget of $370,000, which allows for a total of 21 schools and conferences to receive funding annually.Eligibility

Schools must be active NCAA Division II members and be able to execute all recipient responsibilities in order to be eligible to submit a proposal.Interested schools are encouraged to seek the guidance of their individual human resources department during proposal development and submission. Division II schools may receive funding through the Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant while also receiving funding through either the Division II Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant or the Division II Strategic Alliance Matching Grant.Ineligibility
