CIRI Foundation

The CIRI Foundation is a private foundation established in 1982 by the ANCSA Corporation Cook Inlet Region, Inc. Board of Directors. Our mission is to foster individual self-development and economic self-sufficiency through education while preserving the rich culture and legacy of Alaska Natives who are original shareholders of CIRI, and their lineal descendants.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TCF is committed to supporting the educational and career aspirations of our Alaska Native beneficiaries by offering scholarships for post-secondary and career technical education. Our primary goal is to encourage the education and career development of Alaska Native beneficiaries through various funding opportunities.

CIRI Foundation: Higher Education Scholarship

Amount

* $200 per credit hour for all undergraduate students. $400 per credit hour for all graduate students.
* Students taking 15+ credits per term, including summer, can receive up to $3,000 per term for a total of $9,000 per year with summer school.
* Students taking 12 or fewer credits per term can receive up to $2,400 per term.

Funding covers direct educational expenses and up to $500 per term for personal expenses if other costs are covered.

Eligibility

* CIRI original shareholder or lineal descendant
* High school diploma or GED
* Enrolled in Associate, Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, or pre-requisite courses for a degree program
* Attending an accredited institution
* Minimum 2.0 GPA
