CIRI Foundation

The CIRI Foundation is a private foundation established in 1982 by the ANCSA Corporation Cook Inlet Region, Inc. Board of Directors. Our mission is to foster individual self-development and economic self-sufficiency through education while preserving the rich culture and legacy of Alaska Natives who are original shareholders of CIRI, and their lineal descendants.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TCF is committed to supporting the educational and career aspirations of our Alaska Native beneficiaries by offering scholarships for post-secondary and career technical education. Our primary goal is to encourage the education and career development of Alaska Native beneficiaries through various funding opportunities.

Cap Lathrop Scholarship

Amount: Up to $2,000 for full-time students

Funding covers direct educational expenses and up to $500 per term for personal expenses if other costs are covered.

Eligibility

* Alaska Native original regional or village corporation shareholder or lineal descendant (preference to Cook Inlet Region, Inc. shareholders/descendants)
* Enrolled or accepted full-time in an accredited college or university
* Declared major in broadcast, telecommunication, business, engineering, journalism, or other media-related fields
* Minimum 3.0 GPA
* Intend to work in Alaska in the broadcast/telecommunications industry (must describe intent in the Statement of Purpose).
