Overview: CHIP is committed to creating affordable housing and nurturing communities by offering educational support to residents and homeowners.

Award Amount:

$500 for eligible applicants attending or planning to attend trade school, community college, or four-year university

$250 for GED applicants

Geographic Scope: California (CHIP Housing properties)

Eligibility Requirements:

Must live in a CHIP rental property or self-help home (proof of residency required)

Must be currently attending or planning to attend a trade school, community college, or four-year university OR applying to take the GED test (proof of registration required)

Children living with CHIP homeowners and renters are eligible

Parents who work for or are on the board of CHIP may apply but must disclose this in the application

Only available to CHIP residents and homeowners
