Charles R. Wood Foundation Grant

The Charles R. Wood Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations in the Lake George Region, focusing on children, healthcare, and the arts. Organizations can apply for various types of grants year-round, with eligibility primarily for 501(c)(3) public charities. The Foundation prioritizes innovative projects that meet community needs.

Applications are accepted year-round with the following review dates:
Applications received by March 1 will be reviewed at our Board Meeting held in May.Applications received by September 1 will be reviewed at our Board Meeting held in November.
From combating child hunger and expanding access to healthcare, to strengthening families and encouraging kids with medical conditions, the Foundation embraces and supports grants that have the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life of the child.
Wood Foundation, is funding local healthcare initiatives and projects.
There are three options in which an organization can apply for support, once your organization has met the foundation's general funding guidelines.
Please note that information on each of the organizations will be requested in the application.
Applicants must document the need(s) that will be addressed, the population size to be served, how results will be measured and the 3-4 year plan for the project.

Eligibility

The Foundation primarily focuses on requests from 501 (c) (3) public charities. Only requests which fall under these guidelines will be considered.Grant Requests must be submitted online to be considered.Applications may be submitted year round.Applications are reviewed by the Board in the order in which they are received.Grants, in general, are reviewed and action taken within five months.Organizations may apply for a grant only once in a 12 month period.Contributions, grants, and award amounts will vary depending on the resources available within the Foundation as well as the nature of the request.

Ineligibility

Funding is not provided for operational salaries or to institutions of higher education (colleges or universities).
