Charles B. Degenstein Foundation Grant

The Charles B. Degenstein Foundation Grant supports 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations within a 75-mile radius of Sunbury, PA. Established in 1989, the Foundation seeks to enhance community quality of life through funding in areas like conservation, health care, social services, and education. The Charles B. Degenstein Foundation was established in 1989 by Charles B. Degenstein. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided charitable grants to recipient 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations throughout the local region.
Charles B. Degenstein established this charitable foundation to implement his life-long desire to improve the quality of people’s lives through support for organizations with clear statements of purpose, well-defined programs, and competent leadership.
The Foundation recognizes the need to encourage progress through grants to promote:

These priorities further include projects and programs within the region that promote economic development, improvement of health care and medical research, support of the region’s institutions of higher learning and other educational resources such as libraries, support of cultural and artistic programs, and the beautification and rehabilitation of the region.

Eligibility

Grant applications will be reviewed by a Trust Board to designate grants to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations for projects and programs that are within the scope of the Foundation’s priorities, namely, the enhancement of the quality of life of the residents of the local region within a seventy-five mile radius of Sunbury (the “region”)

Ineligibility

These grants are rarely expected to cover all project or program costs.Please note that applications focused on campaigns, operating budgets, or political activities are strongly discouraged.
