CFLL Community Grants Program

The CFLL Community Grants Program, offered by the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln, invites nonprofit organizations in Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery, and Morgan counties to apply for funding. This program supports various charitable causes and enables donors to consider diverse funding opportunities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and local government entities. This initiative enhances the community by fostering partnerships and addressing local needs.

The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln accepts grant applications for several programs and charitable funds throughout the year. The Community Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations in Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery, and Morgan counties to apply for funding from our competitive grantmaking funds when eligible.

The Community Grants Program is the local grantmaking program at the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln. The Program accepts funding requests for any charitable focus area in Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan and Sangamon County.
This program was initiated to expose donor-advised funds to funding opportunities of which they may not otherwise be aware. Donors review the grant requests submitted by nonprofit organizations through this program, potentially partner with each other, and make decisions on funding.

Eligibility

Each grant program at the Foundation is unique in what it funds and who is eligible to apply. Please review the grant information for each program carefully to make sure your organization meets the specific criteria. Applications are generally accepted from:
registered 501(c)(3) charitable organizations faith-based organizations (proposals must benefit all, regardless of religion, and be for service provided which is not religious in nature)public or private schools (proposals must be for projects that exceed the school’s budget funding) units of government or municipalities
