Peer Power considers three areas of measurement: 1. Academic Merit – Transcript (including course rigor and GPA) and standardized test scores, plus awards and accomplishments 2. Volunteer Impact – Work as an organizer and leader of school and/or community volunteer activities 3. Strong Personal Character – Demonstrated through recommendation letters and a 250-word essay- Graduating high school senior from one of these Peer Power partner schools: Douglass High School, East High School, Hamilton High School, Kingsbury High School, Melrose High School, Ridgeway High School, or Whitehaven High School
- Admitted to and planning to attend the University of Memphis
- Demonstrate financial need via FAFSA or CSS Profile
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher as documented via official high school transcript
- Submit a 250-word essay
