Overview

Carolyn Kemmeries Student Grants

Overview: In recognition of the tremendous contributions from former UHS Principal, Carolyn Kemmeries, the UHS Foundation and Alumni Association seeks to support UHS students, particularly those who are first generation college bound and in particular need, who are focused on building opportunities for themselves.

Purpose: The Kemmeries Grants are awarded to students for projects that further their educational development.

Award Amount: Grants of up to $500 per student per year are available at the discretion of the UHSFAA board and the counseling department, and are based on available funds.

Eligible Uses: Needs might include costs associated with:

  • Internet access

  • Academic supplies

  • Travel

  • Academic program fees

  • Meals for food-insecure students
  • Target Population: UHS students, particularly those who are:

  • First generation college bound

  • In particular need

  • Focused on building opportunities for themselves
  • Geographic Scope: University High School (Arizona)

    Note: These grants are meant for students in need or with extenuating circumstances and are meant to create opportunity and remove barriers.
