The Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council reimburses local companies for their full-time, permanent staff who participate in technology certification programs. This program aims to help tech companies attract and retain talent while ensuring Alexandria and Arlington maintain their position as a top region for tech talent.

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (C/EH)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Company Size: Less than 250 employees
  • Location: Office located in or planned to locate in Northern Virginia
  • Business Necessity: Training must enhance the company's ability to compete, expand markets, and ensure permanency in Northern Virginia

    Reimbursement Structure

  • 90% of costs for employers with 50 or fewer employees
  • 75% of costs for employers with 51-100 employees
  • 50% of costs for employers with more than 100 employees
