Overview

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Awards Program

Funder: Kiwanis Club of Roanoke, Virginia

Purpose: Assist and celebrate Roanoke County and Roanoke City high school CTE students that are graduating and entering the workforce

Eligible Institutions:

  • Burton Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) - Roanoke County

  • DAYTEC - Roanoke City

  • ROTEC - Roanoke City
  • Award Amount: $3,500 provided to each institution in 2025 for purchase of tangible goods students need on the job

    Selection Criteria: Students selected by their institutions based upon:

  • Conduct

  • Attitude across their time at school and/or internships
  • Use of Funds: Funding provided directly to purchase tangible goods the students need for work
