Overview: Memorial scholarship established to honor Captain Morgan Lisa Taylor, a Maine Law alumna (Class of 2019) who passed away in November 2022.
Eligibility:
Background: Captain Morgan Lisa Taylor was a Judge Advocate General Officer (JAG) in the U.S. Air Force. She was active in the Maine Law Student Bar Association and known as a unifier among faculty and students. She was traveling to Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama for Squadron Officer School when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle on I-70 in Kansas on November 12, 2022.
Origination: Established by Maine Law and former classmates of Taylor to honor her legacy and impact on the law school community.
Status: Active scholarship fund accepting donations.
