Overview

Indiana Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute The Indiana Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) has been at the forefront of translational research since 2008. From the lab bench to clinical trials and beyond, we help researchers move their scientific findings through the development pipeline. Our mission is to bring together Indiana’s brightest minds to solve the state’s most pressing health challenges. We envision Indiana as one of the nation’s healthiest states. Cancer Center Improving Cancer Outcomes Pilot Funding The purpose of this RFA is to support innovative pilot projects that inform larger-scale research aimed at strengthening cancer-related outcomes in communities across the United States. The IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center is inviting proposals for pilot/feasibility research projects that address populations with a higher cancer burden. These projects should aim to identify practical, evidence-based strategies to advance prevention, early detection, treatment, or survivorship care in these communities. Populations of interest may include individuals experiencing economic hardship, or other circumstances that affect their ability to achieve the best possible health outcomes. Research that emphasizes reducing delays in diagnosis or treatment, supporting continuity of care, and promoting long-term recovery will be prioritized. A primary goal of the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center is to encourage interdisciplinary and translational approaches to address real-world barriers and generate actionable solutions. We welcome proposals that foster collaboration across institutions, clinical settings, and public health systems.
