Summary
The Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA) in Breast Cancer Research supports mid-career physician-scientists in conducting innovative, clinical research not currently funded. It aims to advance original breast cancer studies at academic research institutions, encouraging both U.S. and international applicants. The ACRA includes a competitive review process by an independent committee, ensuring only high-quality proposals receive funding. This initiative is vital for fostering new insights and approaches in breast cancer treatment and care.Overview
NOTE: The ACRA contains two phases: a Letter of Intent (LOI) phase and a Full Application phase. Completion of the Full Application is by invitation-only based on the submitted LOI. Advanced Clinical Research Award All Conquer Cancer research grant applications are carefully reviewed and evaluated by an independent Grants Selection Committee (Committee) using consistent criteria across all applications for each grant or award type. The Committee scores and ranks the applications, and the highest-scoring applications are funded. In some circumstances, applications already deemed "fundable" based on their high application scores may be matched with Conquer Cancer grants that have additional donor-specified criteria. However, all fundable applications will receive Conquer Cancer research grants. In no case will an application not deemed fundable in the initial review process receive a Conquer Cancer research grant. The Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA) is a topic-specific competition designed to support physician-scientists committed to performing original, clinical cancer research in an area not currently funded. The research proposed for this funding must be translational and/or clinical in nature. Breast Cancer Research The Conquer Cancer Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA) in Breast Cancer Research will provide funding to independent mid-career investigators who wish to conduct original breast cancer research not currently funded. The research study must be conducted at an academic medical research institution. Applications are accepted from U.S. and international applicants.Eligibility
