C. Scott & Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation Grant - Prior Funded Organizations

The C. Scott and Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation supports educational, research, and charitable organizations in Utah. Focused on promoting self-reliance, the foundation provides financial assistance for local programs in education, healthcare, and community support. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and serve the Utah area. The foundation does not fund endowments, capital campaigns, or political lobbying, ensuring resources are directed towards impactful local initiatives.

NOTE: New organizations requesting funding should apply by August 15 of each year. If you are an organization that received funding from the C. Scott & Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation in the prior year, please apply by September 15.
The C. Scott and Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation was created to assist educational, research and charitable organizations in our community that serve others in need. The Foundation’s purpose is to give to others as Scott and Dorothy did during their lives, with an emphasis on supporting local (Utah) programs that promote self- reliance – ones which will help those in need to gain additional education, health care or other services so that they are then able to help themselves.
The Foundation’s focus areas of giving are:

General, business, and nursing scholarships (financial need-based)

Eligibility

Organization must be a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit designated organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Organizations must be located or directly serve areas in the state of Utah.

Ineligibility

We do not fund requests for endowments, buildings, or capital campaigns, nor political organizations/lobbying.We do not fund multi-year pledges.
