Watkins Charitable Foundation in the prior year, please apply by September 15. The C. Scott and Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation was created to assist educational, research and charitable organizations in our community that serve others in need. The Foundation’s purpose is to give to others as Scott and Dorothy did during their lives, with an emphasis on supporting local (Utah) programs that promote self- reliance – ones which will help those in need to gain additional education, health care or other services so that they are then able to help themselves. The Foundation’s focus areas of giving are: Education General, business, and nursing scholarships (financial need-based) Refugee & other education programs Public/Value-based broadcasting Health Care Medical research Medical care/support (especially financial need-based) Community Humanitarian aid Youth/family support programs
