C. Scott & Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation Grant The C. Scott and Dorothy E. Watkins Charitable Foundation was created to assist educational, research, and charitable organizations in our community that serve others in need. The Foundation’s purpose is to give to others as Scott and Dorothy did during their lives, with an emphasis on supporting local (Utah) programs that promote self-reliance – ones which will help those in need to gain additional education, health care, or other services so that they are then able to help themselves. The Foundation’s focus areas of giving are: Education General, business, and nursing scholarships (financial need-based) Refugee & other education programs Public/Value-based broadcasting Health Care Medical research Medical care/support (especially financial need-based) Community Humanitarian aid Youth/family support programs For new organizations requesting funding: Please submit the information by August 15 for consideration of funding each year. Note: You do not need to mail us a hard copy of financials if they are included via email. We will contact you if we require additional information or have further questions. You will receive notification by November 30 if a donation is made. We generally do not send follow-ups if funding is not approved.Eligibility
