Butte-Silver Bow Community Foundation Grant The Butte-Silver Bow Community Foundation, Inc. is a steward through which private assets entrusted to us by donors are invested to meet the challenges of contemporary life. We are committed to respecting the trust and intent of our donors, while maintaining our integrity and responsiveness as a community foundation. We seek to protect and enhance the unique resources of Butte-Silver Bow, its diversity of culture, its richness of artistic creation and the beauty and quality of its land, air and water – so that these resources may be enjoyed now and in the future. We are committed to equality of opportunity and justice for all citizens. We seek to enhance human dignity by providing support for area citizens to participate actively in determining the course of their lives and life of their community. Focus Areas Arts & Culture:We are an organization that seeks to promote the arts in our community in ways that insures art and music will continue to be a strong foundation in the development of area youth as well as adults. We will also strive to support our local culture by contributing to diverse organizations that are a part of our community.Basic Human Needs:As with most communities, there are those that live here that are less fortunate than the majority of us. We are committed to equality of opportunity and justice for all citizens and seek to enhance human dignity by providing support for area citizens to participate actively in determining the course of their lives and the life of the community. We will help organizations that provide food, shelter, clothing and other basic necessities for those in need.Economic Development:We will foster economic development in the community by supporting efforts of entrepreneurs and small businesses.Education:Education is a vital component of a thriving community. Our foundation recognizes this fact and will work to support area youth in all aspects of their education.Natural Resources & Conservation:Our area natural resources are abundant and important to our community’s success, as well as to our culture. One of our goals is to preserve our heritage by supporting organizations that thoughtfully manage our natural resources. Funding We have about $5,000 available annually for grantmaking.
