Burke Charitable Properties Grant

Community Foundation of Burke County
The mission of Community Foundation of Burke County (CFBC) is to encourage, develop and participate in philanthropy by providing flexible giving opportunities, professional support and responsible stewardship for the benefit of donors and qualified recipients.
It uses these funds to support grants for charitable agencies and institutions serving Burke County, North Carolina.
The Burke Charitable Properties Fund is accepting grant applications from tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations that serve residents of Burke County. In alignment with the mission of the founders of Burke Charitable Properties, the Fund’s purpose is to assist non-profit organizations with facility costs that support or expand programs benefiting the community.
The Community Foundation of Burke County (CFBC) will administer the 2025 Grant Cycle for The Burke Charitable Properties Fund. Grants awarded through the Fund must be used exclusively for charitable, religious, humanitarian, or educational purposes within the state of North Carolina
The Burke Charitable Properties fund prioritizes funding for:

• Facility costs necessary to support or expand programsEmergency facility costs as they arise

Eligibility

Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations that serve residents of Burke County.

Ineligibility

The Fund generally does not provide funding for:Routine operating expenses or ongoing program costsAnnual fund campaigns or capital campaignsPolitical purposesOrganizations that have not been determined tax-exempt under Section 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a) of theInternal Revenue CodeAugmenting endowments
