Bud McCall Post-Secondary Vocational Rehabilitation Grant

Type: State grant for students with disabilities

Overview: Awarded to students with disabilities who are seeking post-secondary and other Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. Helps cover education costs for eligible students.

    Eligibility

  • Must have a permanent disability that results in a substantial impediment to employment
  • Must apply for services and become a GVRA (Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency) client
  • Undergraduate students and students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan may be candidates
  • Must provide acceptance letter from accredited college or university
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Must apply all comparable benefits first (including Pell Grants) before applying Bud McCall Grant
  • Must submit updates to counselor each semester including grades, student account details, and class schedule to maintain eligibility

    Award Details

  • Covers remaining balance after other aid applied
