Overview

Board Donation Grants

Overview: The Oregon Country Fair's Board Giving Fund supports nonprofit organizations in the community. After a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic and two years without an event, the fund has resumed making donations.

Geographic Scope: Community-based (primary focus on local/regional nonprofits)

Eligible Applicants: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

Focus Areas: Projects and organizational operating expenses in the field of social inequity/social justice

Funding Strategy:

  • Majority of funding distributed annually with application due September 1

  • Awards announced in October

  • 20% available for emergent needs throughout the year

  • Larger grants than previously available will be considered

  • Sponsorships available
  • Organization Budget: Generally most impactful for organizations with a total budget around $500,000, though larger nonprofits will be considered if the grant makes a significant difference

Background: The Fair has donated over $1.5 million back into the larger community in the last 50 years. The Fair holds 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status reflecting its nonprofit purpose.
