BNGAP Chapter of the Year Award

Program Description: Recognition award for BNGAP chapters that demonstrate exemplary commitment to the organization's mission through community service, scholarship, mentoring, outreach, and involvement at local, regional, and national levels.

Geographic Scope: United States

Eligibility:

  • Active BNGAP chapters at member institutions

    • Selection Criteria:

  • Commitment to advancement of academic medicine within chapter's home institution

  • Fulfillment of strategic planning for the respective academic year

  • Member engagement in upholding BNGAP mission, objectives, and goals

  • Strength and breadth of activities in building diverse pre-faculty workforce

  • Demonstrated benefits of activities toward building diverse pre-faculty workforce

  • Responsiveness to unique career development needs of diverse trainees

  • Evidence of inter-professional work

  • Innovativeness of activities

  • Sustainability of activities
