Overview
Birth Center Membership Support Grant
Purpose: Assists birth center applicants with up to 50% of membership fees due the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) for:
1. Birth centers applying for membership for the first time
2. Birth centers due for membership renewal but experiencing a fiscal crisis
- Financial hardship to pay 100% of the AABC membership dues
- Intent to maintain AABC membership
Eligibility Criteria
Birth center or developing birth center must have:- Commitment to serving low income women and/or women on Medical Assistance
- Situated in a rural or low-income area
- Annual gross revenues of less than $100,000
- Commitment to foster public education about birth centers
Special Consideration
Special consideration given to birth centers demonstrating one or more of:Geographic Scope
US-based (Pennsylvania funder)- Award certificates issued in the form of a promo code
- Code can be used online during registration or renewal process
- Award promo code expires 3 months from date of issue and must be used within that timeframe
