Partnership Program

The Partnership Program supports the intentional and formal steps of bringing together multiple community benefit organizations or a community benefit organization with a for-profit organization through a merger, the legal binding of two or more organizations with overlapping or complementary missions, audiences or services into one organization to increase organizational efficiency and mission-related outcomes. To apply, organizations must obtain a formal declaration of intent to merge, signed by boards of directors chairs.

Grant Range:

Grant requests of up to $20,000 will be considered. The Community Foundation may consider offering partial funding of any given request.

Eligibility

* Applicants must:
* Provide your organizational Non-Discrimination Policy meeting all federal requirements as it applies to your type of organization (FAQs)
* Align with the Community Foundation’s Anti-Hate policy
Serve Lancaster County\ residents without discrimination
Have a current 501(c)(3)\\* designation from the IRS
* Be registered with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Charitable Organizations unless otherwise exempt per the Institutions of Purely Public Charity Act
* Complete IRS Form 990 Annually
* Had an Annual Audit or a financial review by an independent CPA within the last 12 months
* Be in good standing with all existing awards and contracts with the Lancaster County Community Foundation
* Eligible Program Costs
* Legal fees
* Marketing/branding
* Organizational development planning
* Consultant or facilitator fees
* Meeting expenses
* Consult with staff if you have other ideas for spending the funds

Ineligibility

* PLEASE NOTE THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION WILL NOT TYPICALLY FUND:
* Creation of a new organization
* Schools
* Capital campaigns/capital costs (equipment, building costs, maintenance)
* Political campaigns
* Expenses incurred before the grant is awarded
* Cemetery associations
* Religious causes that further a specific belief/agenda
