Betty H. King Scholarship Grant

The Betty H. King Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, provides two renewable $1,000 scholarships for female high school seniors from select Missouri counties. The Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) serves central and southern Missouri by facilitating charitable giving, managing funds, providing competitive grants, and awarding scholarships. Its programs support nonprofits through grant cycles for local projects and innovative solutions, while also offering endowment and fund-management services for donors looking to create lasting impact.
This program awards two $1,000 scholarships, renewable for up to three additional years, to female graduating high school seniors from one of the following Missouri counties: Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Ozark, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster, or Wright. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, and plan to major in Education, Engineering, Math, or Science at an accredited two-year, four-year, or vocational school. Applications must include a transcript, a personal essay, and a description of the applicant’s community service and school involvement.
