Beneficial Suggestion Program (BennySuggs)

Award: Up to $500 credit on energy bill per approved suggestion

Geographic Scope: Berkeley Electric Cooperative service territory (Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties, SC)

Program Description: The Beneficial Suggestions Program recognizes members for beneficial ideas that help improve Berkeley Electric Cooperative's services. Members are rewarded for ideas that make the Cooperative's mission to enhance the lives of its members more successful.

Eligible Suggestion Areas:

• New outreach programs
• Improving educational efforts
• Ways to boost safety and energy efficiency
• Suggestions that improve the way the Cooperative operates on a daily basis

Eligibility:

• Must be eligible Berkeley Electric Cooperative member

Award Details:

• Credit applied directly to energy bill
• Award amounts proportionate to benefits resulting from suggestion or expected savings
• Up to $500 maximum per approved suggestion
• Suggestions do not need to be new or original
• Must address specific problem with workable solution

Application Process

1. Review Rules: Read the Beneficial Suggestion Program rules and procedures on berkeleyelectric.coop
2. Develop Idea: Create suggestion that addresses specific problem with workable solution
3. Complete Form: Fill out online suggestion form
4. Submit: Submit through berkeleyelectric.coop website
5. Review: Cooperative evaluates suggestion for implementation potential
6. Approval: If approved and implemented, member receives bill credit

Requirements:

• Suggestion must address a specific problem
• Must provide workable solution
• Does not need to be original (can be adaptation of existing idea)
• Member must be eligible Berkeley Electric Cooperative member

Award Process:

• Suggestions evaluated for implementation benefit
• Award amounts determined based on value and expected savings
• Credit applied to member's energy bill upon approval and implementation
