Background

Sepsis is a serious, life-threatening condition that often goes unrecognized due to lack of awareness about its symptoms and potential dangers. Sepsis affects 1.7 million people and claims 350,000 lives in the U.S. annually. Survivors can have long-term physical and psychological effects that alter their lives forever.

Eligibility

• High school students
• Undergraduate students
• Graduate students
• Must have been personally impacted by sepsis OR affected through a loved one

• Supporting sepsis survivors
• Supporting children who have lost parents to sepsis
• Supporting family members affected by sepsis
