Begin Again Foundation Financial Aid Fund

In partnership with Patient Advocate Foundation, the Begin Again Foundation Financial Aid Fund works to support eligible patients who have an Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Sepsis and/or Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) physician verified diagnosis within a six month look-back period.

Monthly Awards: 10 approved applicants per month

• Food/nutritional needs
• Lodging

Eligibility Requirements

• Physician verified diagnosis of ARDS, Sepsis, and/or TSS within six months
• Must meet program financial guidelines
• Application submission required

Application Process

• First come, first served basis
• Applications reviewed by Patient Advocate Foundation's team of certified case workers
• Application portal closes once 10 grants awarded per month
• Portal reopens on the first of the following month
• Applications can be made by phone or online

Geographic Scope: United States

Note: Due to large volume of requests, the foundation cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled.

How to Apply

1. Submit application by phone or online through the Begin Again Foundation Financial Aid Fund portal
2. Provide physician verified diagnosis of ARDS, Sepsis, and/or TSS
3. Demonstrate financial need meeting program guidelines
4. Applications reviewed on first-come, first-served basis
5. Approved applicants receive one-time $1,000 payment

Application Portal: Opens on the first of each month after previous month's grants are exhausted
