Our Impact For more than 35 years, the BCBSND Caring Foundation has supported sustainable and innovative efforts by collaborating with organizations across North Dakota. Making a Measurable Difference Health and well-being are essential building blocks to personal fulfillment, thriving communities and a stronger state. By joining forces with change makers, innovators and problem solvers we work to tackle the root causes of health issues. Impact Grants Impact Grants are designed to support whole-person health, empowering North Dakotans and their communities to live healthier lives. These grants focus on Behavioral Health, Social Drivers of Health (SDOH) and/or health promotion and disease prevention.

Must be a North-Dakota-based organization or serve North DakotansBe a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, municipal entity or school systemSupport our mission and align with our funding priority areasAmount: Up to $10,000; average grant is $2,500. The amount awarded depends on the project, reach and anticipated impact.An Impact Grant could include, but is not limited to:Increasing school mental health services through on-site or virtual careCulturally tailored initiatives to ensure inclusivity, effectiveness and continued learningProviding improved access to nutritious foods and creating healthier eating habits

We do not fund:Programs that do not support our mission of improving the health and well-being of North Dakotans and their communitiesIndividuals for any purposeGeneral operating expensesReligious organizations for religious purposesPolitical purposes or lobbying activities Full-time or part-time employee positionsCapital campaigns, endowments or other discretionary funding poolsOrganizations outside North Dakota or funds spent outside of North Dakota
