Ayden & Wyatt Brown Memorial Scholarship Grant

The Ayden & Wyatt Brown Memorial Scholarship, established in 2021 by the Muskingum County Community Foundation, aims to support high school athletes from Maysville Local School District who face significant life challenges. Annually, it awards up to $500 to a graduating senior committed to pursuing their dreams in education or professional goals. This initiative embodies hope, courage, and service, fostering resilience and ambition among young athletes in the community.

Mission & Vision
The Envisioned Future of the Muskingum County Community Foundation is that Muskingum County’s quality of life attracts organizations and people to pursue their dreams and practice their passions.
Since its founding, MCCF has awarded more than $8 million to local charities and currently has over $22 million in assets.
The Ayden and Wyatt Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by family and friends in 2021. This scholarship program will annually award one or more scholarships up to $500.00 to a high school athlete from Maysville Local School District who continues to pursue a “life dream”, a professional or educational goal in spite of facing extraordinary life challenges. The recipient will be a graduating high school senior athlete from Maysville High School who has overcome their personal adversity and demonstrates:

• Hope, faith, and courage
• Thoughtfulness and service to others
• Living life, pursuing dreams, and enabling one’s self

The scholarship is to be used for post-secondary education at an accredited nonprofit or public educational institution or trade school in pursuit of a “life dream” and or professional goal. The school may be a two- or four-year college or university or trade school. The applicant needs to demonstrate that he or she can succeed in that educational pursuit and that this scholarship will help them in this endeavor.
