Overview

The AWS Welding Workforce Grants aim to enhance welding programs by providing up to $50,000 for essential resources such as new equipment and training. Preference is given to proposals that significantly increase welding graduates and address geographic areas with high needs. Note: Applications are currently closed and will reopen in January 2026.

The Welding Workforce Grant provides up to $50,000 for new equipment, facility expansion, and training resources—to help programs grow to meet the needs of local industries.
AWS Educational Institution Membership is required to apply. A grant recipient may not apply again for three years following selection.
