AWS University Research Grants

The Australian Wildlife Society offers University Research Grants to honours and postgraduate students in Australia focused on wildlife conservation research. Each year, ten grants are available, including a $5,000 scholarship for the top applicant. These grants can be used for research-related expenses, travel, or conference attendance. Applicants must be Society members, and only one entry per applicant is allowed. Applications exceeding four pages will not be considered.

Australian Wildlife Society: University Research Grants
The Australian Wildlife Society’s University Research Grants are offered to honours or postgraduate students at Australian universities conducting research that contributes to the conservation of Australian wildlife (flora or fauna).
Ten University Research Grants are awarded each year: one $5,000 scholarship and nine $3,000 grants. The Dr Clive Williams OAM Memorial Wildlife Conservation Scholarship is awarded to the highest-ranked applicant of all our University Research Grants.

Eligibility

Grants may be used to purchase equipment and consumables, travel expenses related to field research, or attend a conference where the student presents their research.One entry per applicant.Applicants must be a member of the Society.
