Award for Advancing Inclusive Excellence in STEM Recognizing Efforts to Advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Earth and Space Sciences The Award for Advancing Inclusive Excellence in STEM recognizes exemplary efforts made by an individual or team for developing program/s, systems, or networks that have led to the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion within the Earth and space sciences community. The nominees for this distinguished award are individuals or teams from all career levels that have proven success in creating and sustaining measurable change within the Earth and space science community. The award is named after Claudia Alexander for her groundbreaking contributions to both scientific advancement and diversity, equity and inclusion in the Earth and space sciences. Honor Benefits Recipients receive the following: A $10,000 prize intended to further the honoree(s) work (teams are entrusted to distribute the awards equitably)An engraved awardRecognition at AGU's annual meeting the year the honor is awardedRegistration to AGU's annual meeting the year the honor is awarded for a single winner or up to two team membersTwo hotel nights to attend AGU's annual meeting the year the honor is awarded for a single winner or up to two team members Two tickets to attend the Honors Reception at AGU's annual meeting the year the honor is awarded
