Overview

Purpose The purpose of the grant is to encourage students to become active members of ASTR by helping contribute towards the cost of attending the annual conference in November. Evaluation Criteria include the quality of the applicant’s expression of interest in attending the ASTR conference, and the applicant’s record of achievement in scholarship and/or service. Award This award provides up to three $800 honorariums and complimentary conference registration. Note: In the event that a person is chosen to receive more than one award to help defray the costs of attending the ASTR conference, that person will receive the money associated with the larger of the two awards but will be acknowledged as a winner of both. The relevant awards committees shall have the right to disburse monies unspent by the award recipient to support additional worthy applicants.
