The ASIO Toxikon and Dr. Dharm Singh Association of Scientists of Indian Origin International Travel Award offers up to two annual awards for undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows of Indian origin studying outside the USA. These awards recognize exceptional presentations at the SOT Annual Meeting and include monetary support and a certificate. Eligible applicants must be ASIO members and have accepted or submitted abstracts for the meeting. This initiative promotes international collaboration in toxicology.Overview
ASIO Toxikon, A Preclinical Toxicology Organization; and Dr. Dharm Singh Association of Scientists of Indian Origin International Travel Award Up to two (2) international awards are made possible each year by the Toxikon, A Preclinical Toxicology Organization; and Dr. Dharm Singh ASIO Award Fund established with SOT in 2014. These awards will be given each year to undergraduates, graduate students, and/or postdoctoral fellows of Indian origin from outside USA for their presentations made at the SOT Annual Meeting. Each award includes monetary award and a certificate. The number of awards will be decided by the ASIO Award committee.Eligibility

Must be an undergraduate, graduate student, or postdoctoral fellow of Indian origin.The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student or postdoctoral fellow in a university/organization outside USA at the time of applying for this award.The applicant must be the first author (equal contribution first co-author is acceptable) in the submitted abstract. This is indicative of lead role and significant contribution of the applicant in the research work.Must be an ASIO member (or have pending application for membership*). If not a member yet, you can apply for ASIO membership throughout the year. There is no SOT membership requirement. However, we strongly encourage applicants to apply for SOT membership, if they are not members currently.Must have an accepted abstract or a submitted abstract (pending acceptance) for the SOT Annual Meeting. Awardees must have an abstract accepted prior to the SOT annual meeting to be eligible for receiving the award.Must NOT have received an ASIO-SIG sponsored award more than twice in the last three years.
