Overview: Award program supporting genetics trainees and early- to mid-career investigators from developing countries in Africa to attend the ASHG Annual Meeting.
Geographic Scope: Africa (countries categorized by World Bank as low-income or lower-middle-income economy (LMIC))

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Submit an abstract to the ASHG Annual Meeting by the deadline (typically June 11)
2. Indicate in the abstract submission that you wish to be considered for the award
3. Commit to attending the meeting if awarded
4. Must be citizen of and currently working in eligible African LMIC country
Selection: ASHG Program Committee scores all abstracts and selects the 25 eligible applicants with the highest abstract scores to receive the award.
