Geographic Scope: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Focus Areas: Supports testing, exploration, and creation of innovative work across diverse artistic disciplines including:

Dance

Theater

Music

Spoken word

Performance art

Traditional and folk arts

Visual art (2D and 3D)

Film

Literary arts

Multi-disciplinary combinations of the above

Award Structure: 20 project-specific awards of $10,000 each annually

Eligibility: Tulsa-based artists and creatives. Applicants must be 18+ years old.

Requirements:

Each awardee must present one public-facing event in Tulsa during the grant period

Awardees receive cohort-based professional development opportunities throughout the grant period

Grant period typically runs approximately 6-8 months (e.g., August 2024 – March 2025)

Program History:

First launched: April 2023

Year 1 (2023): Selected 20 artists from 144 applications; 22 events held during grant period

Year 2 (2024-2025): Selected 20 artists from 110 applications

Funder: George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), with support from Tulsa Community Foundation

Administrator: Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange (CACHE) leads application process and professional development programming
