Art Inspires Scholarship

Purpose: Recognizes student artists for outstanding artwork reflecting StriveTogether's vision and core values, including educational equity.

Award Details:

  • Scholarship Amount: $1,000 college scholarship per recipient

  • Artwork Display: Winners' work displayed at StriveTogether's Cincinnati headquarters

  • Number of Awards: Five student artists recognized annually (as of 2018)
  • Geographic Scope: Communities within the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network (including but not limited to Charleston/Tri-County area in South Carolina, Memphis area in Tennessee)

    Eligibility:

  • High school students or recent graduates

  • U.S. students (based on program details)

  • Must create artwork reflecting StriveTogether's vision and core values
  • Core Values Addressed:

  • Educational equity

  • Community collaboration

  • Educational opportunity and support

  • Systems change for youth success
  • Focus Areas: Artwork addressing themes of:

  • Educational journeys and opportunity

  • Community effort and collaboration

  • Supporting students from cradle to career

    Application Process

    1. Submission Method: Submit artwork reflecting StriveTogether's vision and core values
    2. Artwork Format: Original visual art (examples include painting, drawing, mixed media)
    3. Theme: Create art addressing educational equity, opportunity, community, or related topics aligned with cradle-to-career outcomes
    4. Selection: Winners selected based on artistic quality and alignment with StriveTogether values
