Army ROTC Four-Year Cadet Command Scholarships

Program: Cadet Command Scholarships administered through Army ROTC program at Eastern Illinois University

Geographic Scope: United States (U.S. Citizens only)

Status: Active federal program

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 31 upon graduation
  • High school students: Cumulative GPA above 2.5
  • College students: Cumulative GPA above 2.5 and must be full-time student
  • Must be able to pass an Army Physical Fitness Test:
  • - Push-ups in 1 minute: 30 (male)/13 (female) - Sit-ups in 1 minute: 35 (male)/30 (female) - Run 1-mile in less than 8:00 (male)/10:00 (female)
  • Must be able to meet Army height and weight standards or body fat percentage standards
  • Must be able to pass Department of Defense Physical
  • Must meet remaining requirements found in Cadet Command Regulation 145-1

    Key Dates

  • Applications may start as early as June following Junior Year of High School
  • First scholarship board: October of senior year
  • Application deadline: February 4 of senior year
  • Recommended application completion: Before October 1 to be considered by first two scholarship boards

3. Submit before October 1 - Recommended to be considered by first two scholarship boards
4. Meet February 4 deadline - Final deadline for senior year applicants
