ACDS staff

ACDS Board members

Leaders and emerging leaders in housing and community development working in Anne Arundel County

Community organizations serving Anne Arundel County

Focus Areas:

Professional development and training

Leadership development

Technical assistance training (e.g., CDBG training)

Housing and community development industry education

Award Details:

Typically awards up to $6,000 per calendar year

Maximum award of $1,500 per individual

Recent awards have ranged from $500-$1,500

Past recipients have used funds for:

- HUD Basically CDBG training
- Leadership and management skills courses
- Housing counselor certification programs
- Community Association Institute (CAI) trainings

Background: Ardath M. Cade is a champion of affordable housing and community development throughout Maryland and Anne Arundel County. During her tenure as a county official, she helped launch the creation of ACDS. The scholarship fund aims to grow new and emerging leaders at ACDS and in the housing and community development industry.
