AO North America's purpose is to be a validated, credible resource for the continuous professional development of surgeons. We achieve this by creating a community that learns from and with each other. VET preceptorships The AO VET North America Preceptor Program provides an opportunity for surgical residents of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) who are interested in Veterinary Trauma and/or Veterinary orthopedics, to visit a host surgical center and receive up to four additional weeks of training and experiences in AO techniques. In particular, the Preceptor Program will familiarize the surgical resident with indications, planning, techniques and pitfalls of osteosynthesis as judged by AO experts. * Preceptorships are placed on a first come, first serve basis as funding allows. Maximum one preceptorship per year, per person may be approved. Funding The program will be two to four weeks. The stipend provided may be applied toward cost of housing and travel: $1,750 for the first two weeks and $500 each additional week with a maximum of $2,750.Eligibility
