AO Education Institute (AO EI) Fellowship in Medical Education Research Grant

The AO Education Institute (AO EI) Fellowship in Medical Education Research offers a unique opportunity for selected fellows to engage in research that enhances postgraduate surgical education globally. This initiative aims to strengthen the evidence base for continuous professional development of surgeons, thereby improving patient outcomes. With a commitment to fostering a collaborative learning community, AO EI supports over 870 educational events annually, attended by thousands of participants and faculty.

Our mission and purpose
AO North America's purpose is to be a validated, credible resource for the continuous professional development of surgeons.
The AO Education Institute (AO EI) is offering a group of selected fellows the opportunity to conduct research in postgraduate surgical education in a global environment to build more evidence in the field of continuous professional development for surgeons. We offer these fellowships to further contribute to the body of research in medical education and therefore reinforce our commitment to improving performance and patient outcomes through education.
The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization based in Switzerland, created to improve the surgical treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The AO Education Institute (AO EI) supports the development of medical education of our health care professionals' network and it is actively engaged in medical education research.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in a medical education program.
Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English.
