Annual Retreat

Description: An intimate intergenerational overnight gathering offered to affiliates and grantees to reflect on their spirit of service, be inspired by others, and rejuvenate themselves.

Geographic Scope: Northern California (retreat center location)

Participants:

  • Shinnyo-en youth and adult members

  • Grantees

  • Shinnyo Fellows and their supervisors

  • Affiliates from partner organizations
  • Focus Areas:

  • Building personal relationships across generations

  • Reflecting on motivations for service

  • Discussing how to apply "paths to peace" into daily life

  • Spiritual reflection and community building
  • Eligibility:

  • Participation is by invitation only

  • Shinnyo-en youth or adults interested should contact their Temple Manager, local YA (Youth Association) chief, or sub-chief
