Overview: AMSNY Scholars in Medicine and Science is a diversity in medicine program supported by significant state funding. The FY2025 New York State Budget allocated $3.644 million in Governor's investment and $1.25 million in Legislature funding to support the largest cohort of medical students ever.

Funding: Total of $4.89 million investment (combining Governor and Legislature funding)

Current Support: Supports more than 950 students committed to becoming physicians who have overcome adversity on the path to medical school.
