Amplify Her Foundation
Amplify Her® Foundation’s mission is to support women and girls from underserved communities to become transformative changemakers. We achieve this by establishing funding partnerships with community-led organizations in New York City that make progress toward gender equity by building the economic and social power of women and girls through leadership programs, educational opportunities, career training and development, internships, mentorship and more.
PRIORITY FOCUS AREAS
During this cycle, priority will be given to organizations and programs that advance the leadership of women and girls in the following ways:
* RESOURCES: Funding for leadership development and educational experiences
* Career advancement, professional development, and/or leadership development programs.
* Entrepreneurship, business incubator, and/or business development coaching, lending, and support.
* Educational and enrichment opportunities that allow for exposure and access to opportunities.
* Asset building and financial literacy programs.
* Programs that support personal growth, confidence, resiliency, socio-emotional health and well-being, and the self-efficacy of women and girls.
* TRAINING: Capacity building and technical training for women to excel in fields in which women have historically been underrepresented
* Hard and soft skills-building, workforce development, and/or job training programs.
* Specialized training programs tailored to specific industries or leadership roles.
* NETWORKS: Initiatives to support building social capital and professional networks
* Programs that facilitate networking opportunities, peer-to-peer mentorship programs, and platforms for women and girls to connect with professionals, experts, and peers in their fields of interest, and to navigate the unwritten and “unsaid” norms of workplace and higher education culture.
* COMMUNITY: Resourcing to develop ‘third’ spaces for girls and women
* Programs that provide culturally-appropriate, supportive, and affirming environments - outside of home, work and/or school - for personal connection, support, and leadership development.
GENERAL OPERATING VS. PROGRAMMATIC SUPPORT
Organizations may be eligible to apply for general operating support if all of the organization’s work aligns with the strategic priorities of the Amplify Her® Foundation.
To qualify for general operating support -
* 100% of the organization’s programs and activities must take place in New York City.
* 100% of the organization’s activities must be women and/or girl focused.
At this time, organizations offering co-ed programming, or those that are part of a larger national organization, are not eligible for general operating support.
