Overview

Competitive grants to 501(c)(3) public charities (and faith institutions, public entities, and schools for specific projects) located in or directly serving the greater Albion, Michigan area. Awards are made from multiple funds with varying caps: Fund for Greater Albion (max $10,000, 10% cash match required); James C. Kingsley Youth Fund (~$10,000/yr, no set max); Youth Advisory Committee Fund (max $5,000); Rotary Club of Albion Charitable Fund (max $3,000); Jack Hoaglin Family Fund (max $1,500); Boggan/Holland African American Community Fund, Healthy Youth/Healthy Seniors Fund, and Team 1 Plastics Fund (max $1,000 each); Agriculture Education, The Andersons, and MACI Youth funds (max $500 each); Prince Hall Award (max $150). Community Impact Mini-Grants (up to $500) are available on a rolling basis. Projects must serve the greater Albion community.

How to Apply

Three application deadlines per year — March 13, May 19, and September 15 (5:00 PM); the next upcoming deadline is September 15, 2026. Apply via the online Grant Applicant Portal (all organizations must register, even prior grantees). Staff will review drafts received at least 15 business days before a deadline.
