The SER Northeast Chapter was established in 2005 and serves members in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Upstate New York and Connecticut. The mission of the SER Northeast Chapter is to foster the integration of science, planning, education, and regulation in restoration efforts in the Northeast (US) region. We are professionals and academics who integrate the science and practice of ecological restoration, which is the process of assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged, or destroyed. We are proud to offer biennial grants to emerging professionals, to support their research and studies in the field of ecological restoration. These grants are offered in odd-numbered years. The Aimlee Laderman Student Grant is dedicated in honor of Aimlee Laderman, ecologist, life-long educator, and founding member of SER-NE.Eligibility

To be considered, applicants must:Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or have graduated after March 25, 2021.Propose work related to ecological restoration that will either:Be conducted while enrolled as a student, or…Complete research that was largely conducted previously as part of the applicant’s undergraduate or graduate studies.
