Agency Endowment Matching Program

Geographic Scope: Monroe County, Indiana

Overview: A matching opportunity for nonprofits to create or build endowments with support from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Participating nonprofits receive $.50 in matching funds for each $1 they raise toward their endowments.

Launched in 2019 with Lilly Endowment support

First fundraising period: February 1, 2019 - January 31, 2020

Result: 100% of participating nonprofits met their fundraising goals

Total match funds distributed: $267,000
