African Scholars Program

Overview: Automatic consideration for international students from Africa seeking financial aid at Wesleyan University.

Geographic Scope: Africa (54 countries)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of one of Africa's 54 countries

  • Must NOT be a dual U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident

  • Must be seeking and qualify for financial aid

  • Must not have previously enrolled full-time in college or university

  • Must apply through Common Application or Coalition Application through Scoir
  • Award Details:

  • Covers the full cost of attendance at Wesleyan over a four-year course of study

  • Approximately 10 students awarded each year
  • Application: No separate application required; automatic consideration upon submission of regular admission application.
