Summary

The IOH General Research Grant, provided by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, promotes advancements in dental hygiene through original research and educational initiatives. The program welcomes proposals that enhance the dental hygiene body of knowledge and improve public oral health. Eligibility is limited to licensed dental hygienists and ADHA members, while current board members may not apply as principal investigators. Priority is given to projects aligned with the ADHA National Research Agenda.

Overview

The ADHA Foundation was founded to advance the dental hygiene profession and expand access to oral care through scholarships, research grants and community service grants. In collaboration with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), the ADHA Foundation helps ADHA members meet educational needs, expand the field of dental hygiene and provide oral health care and education to their communities. The ADHA Foundation will continue to improve the public’s total health by increasing the awareness of and access to quality oral healthcare for all. ADHA Foundation General Research Grant Research Grant Proposals should: Develop or expand upon the dental hygiene body of knowledge Promote the public’s oral health by improving dental hygiene education and practice Support the delivery of quality oral healthcare

Must be a licensed dental hygienist.Projects which are in progress may be considered for funding as long as they meet the criteria for approval You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. The PI must be a current member of ADHA or SADHA

Ineligibility

Current members of the ADHA Institute Board of Directors, ADHA Board of Trustees and Research Grant Review Committee may not apply as principal investigators, but may do so in another capacity (i.e. secondary investigator, mentor, etc.)
